We built Mimloo so families don't have to choose.

Our Story
Mimloo was born from a simple frustration: there was no place in the city where parents could truly relax while their kids played. Playgrounds are great, but they're not exactly a latte-and-exhale kind of situation. Kids' classes are wonderful, but they're scheduled, rushed, and over before you've caught your breath.
So we designed something different. A play café in Long Island City, Queens — where the space is thoughtfully built for little ones, and the atmosphere is genuinely welcoming for the grown-ups who love them. A place where you can sit, sip, and actually be present — because your kids are safe, engaged, and having the time of their lives ten feet away.
That's the Mimloo idea: play and peace, together.

Why we built it
We were the parents circling the neighborhood with our kids in the stroller and an iced latte, looking for somewhere that worked for everyone. Somewhere where the kids could actually play, and we could actually breathe. Cafés don't have room for strollers, and diners hate the noise. Play spaces don't care about the food, coffee, or vibes. Nobody was thinking of the whole family at once.
So we did.
Mimloo is LIC's answer to that gap: a real place, made for modern parents and the small humans who come with them.
Founded by parents, for parents
Mimloo wasn't dreamed up in a boardroom. It was built by parents who needed it - who knew exactly what was missing because we'd spent years working around it.
Every decision here, from the height of the café seats, to the visibility of the play spaces, comes from real mornings with real kids. We're not guessing what parents want. We're the parents who wanted it.
